BUILD BATTLE Web Development Hackathon Build. Ship. Compete. Build Battle is a competitive web development hackathon organized by Frontend Arena, designed to challenge developers to transform a common problem statement into a creative, functional, and impactful web solution. Every participant will work on the same Problem Statement, but the final outcome will depend entirely on their ideas, technical skills, creativity, design, and execution. One Problem. Different Minds. One Champion. Event Overview Build Battle is an individual-only web development hackathon where participants compete against each other by building solutions for a common challenge. Participants will have the freedom to decide how they approach the problem, what technologies they use, and how they design and implement their solution. The goal is simple: Understand the problem. Build a solution. Stand out. Participation Individual Participation Only Team participation is not allowed. Open to students, developers, designers, freelancers, and web development enthusiasts. Participants of all skill levels are welcome. Evaluation Criteria Criteria Weightage Problem Understanding 15% Functionality & User Experience 25% UI/UX & Design 20% Innovation & Creativity 15% Technical Implementation 15% Presentation & Demo 10% AI & Vibe Coding AI-assisted development and Vibe Coding are allowed. Participants may use AI coding assistants, AI design tools, frameworks, libraries, APIs, and other development tools. AI can assist your development — but your ideas, decisions, and execution define your solution. Rules & Guidelines Build Battle is strictly individual participation only. Each participant must develop and submit their own solution. All submissions must be based on the official Problem Statement. Participants may use their preferred technologies unless otherwise specified. Third-party libraries, frameworks, APIs, and development tools are permitted unless restricted by the Problem Statement. AI-assisted development and Vibe Coding are permitted. Participants must submit their project within the announced deadline. Plagiarism, copied projects, or unauthorized use of another participant's work may result in disqualification. Participants may be asked to explain their implementation during evaluation or the final presentation. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify submissions that violate the event rules.
