About the Quiz: DEBUG THE MODEL 2026 – The AI & ML Diagnostic Challenge is designed to test participants' understanding of machine learning fundamentals, Python for data, deep learning concepts and Generative AI — and to show them exactly where their gaps are. Participants will face a mix of conceptual, code-reasoning and real-world debugging scenarios covering model behaviour, data handling, neural networks, LLMs and applied AI systems. The quiz focuses on whether you can diagnose what's going wrong, rather than whether you can recall definitions. Every participant receives a section-wise score report — not just a total. Objective: Test core machine learning and AI fundamentals Evaluate diagnostic and debugging ability on real model problems Assess practical Python and data-handling understanding Build awareness of Generative AI, LLMs and modern AI systems Develop analytical thinking through applied AI scenarios Identify individual skill gaps through section-wise scoring Strengthen the practical skills expected in AI and data roles Quiz Format: Total Questions: 20 MCQs Duration: 10 Minutes Mode: Online Attempt Type: Single Attempt Difficulty: Moderate Question Style: Conceptual + Code Reasoning + Applied Scenario Marking: +1 for correct, no negative marking Questions and options randomised for every participant Sections Covered: AI & Machine Learning Fundamentals Python for Data Deep Learning & Neural Networks Generative AI & LLMs Applied Debugging Scenarios Quiz Highlights: Fast-paced — 30 seconds per question Real model failures, not textbook definitions Overfitting, class imbalance, learning rates, RAG, tokens, temperature "The model is doing X — what's wrong?" diagnostic scenarios Focus on reasoning over memorisation Section-wise performance breakdown for every participant Competitive leaderboard with time-based tie-breaker What You Get: Section-wise score report showing your strongest and weakest areas Full answer key with explanations for all 20 questions Certificate of Participation for everyone who completes the quiz Certificate of Distinction for top performers Invitation to the live Solutions & Roadmap session on 10th September, where every question is explained and the learning path for each section is mapped out Eligibility: Open to all students and recent graduates All branches and all years welcome Questions are pitched at CSE/IT intermediate level, but no branch is restricted Important Dates: Registration Deadline: 6th Sept 26, 7:00 PM IST Quiz Start Time: 6th Sept 26, 8:00 PM IST Quiz End Time: 6th Sept 26, 10:00 PM IST Results & Answer Key: 7th Sept 26, 12:00 PM IST Live Solutions Session: 10th Sept 26, 8:00 PM IST Rules & Guidelines: Individual participation only No external help, AI assistants, search engines or collaboration is allowed The quiz must be completed within the 10-minute time limit Once started, the quiz cannot be paused or restarted Each participant is allowed only one attempt The quiz may be attempted any time within the 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM window Sharing questions, answers or screenshots during the quiz window will result in disqualification Any use of unfair means or malpractice may result in disqualification Participants must ensure a stable internet connection while attempting the quiz Ties will be broken by completion time Results are auto-evaluated and final The decision of the organizing team will be final and binding
