Management Case Conference

Introduction: The case teaching method has become a way of teaching in B-Schools across the globe, providing students with real-time experience. The Management Case Conference (MCC) is an endeavour to motivate academicians, practitioners, consultants, and research scholars to come up with the best solution to a business situation. The case conference aims to encourage and promote the development of high-quality cases of both national and international relevance. Participants from all over the world are invited to participate and share their experiences. This year will be the 5th edition of MCC. It will be held on November 6, 2026. Considering the importance of sustainability in all facets of life, this year’s theme of the Management Case Conference will be “Bridging Theory and Practice: Real-World Management Challenges”. The event will be held in hybrid mode. Topics: We invite case study submissions across all functional and interdisciplinary areas of management, highlighting real-world organizational issues and managerial decision-making. Submission Calendar: The organizing committee welcomes submissions of cases, both teaching and non-teaching, from all areas of business and management. The authors can submit an extended abstract (500 words) for MCC 2026. However, authors who are targeting the Best Case Award need to submit a full case. Submission of Extended Abstract: September 30, 2026 Decision on Acceptance of the Abstract: October 10, 2026 Registration of Authors/Delegates: Open Submission of Full Case (If Competing for MCC Awards): October 15, 2026 Submission Guidelines: All cases submitted for oral presentation at MCC must contain original work that has not been previously presented or scheduled for presentation. If accepted for publication, or if under review, it must not appear in print before the case competition. Font: Times New Roman, Size – 12, double-spaced, with a 1-inch (2.5 cm) margin all around. Figures, graphs, tables, references, and appendices should follow APA style. To facilitate the blind review process, all author identities, including acknowledgments, should be removed. The title page containing the names of the authors and affiliations should be submitted separately. The extended abstract should cover the following aspects. Rules & Guidelines: Eligibility: The competition is open to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students from recognized colleges, universities, and higher education institutions. Nature of the Case: The presentation should be based on the participant’s Summer Internship Project (SIP) and should present a meaningful managerial/business problem, analysis, findings, and recommendations. Participation: Students may participate individually or in a team of up to 3 members. All team members must be from the same institution. Originality: The submitted work must be original and based on the participant/team’s own SIP experience. Plagiarism, fabrication of information, or misrepresentation of work may lead to disqualification. Confidentiality: Participants must ensure that no confidential or proprietary information of the internship organization is disclosed without appropriate permission. Organization/company names may be anonymized wherever required. Presentation Format: Shortlisted participants/teams will present their case using a PowerPoint presentation (PPT). The presentation should clearly cover the problem/context, objectives, methodology or approach, analysis, key findings, recommendations, and learning/outcomes. Presentation Duration: Each participant/team will be given 15 minutes for presentation, followed by 5 minutes for Q&A with the jury. Submission: Participants must submit the required presentation/materials within the deadline communicated by the organizers. Late or incomplete submissions may not be considered. Evaluation Criteria: Presentations will be evaluated on the basis of clarity of the problem, quality of analysis, application of management concepts, practical relevance, originality, recommendations, presentation quality, and response to jury questions. Decision of the Jury: The decision of the jury and the organizing committee will be final and binding in all matters related to the evaluation and selection of winners. Changes: The organizers reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the schedule, format, or other competition-related requirements, if necessary. Any such changes will be communicated to registered participants. Best paper selection will be done by a five-member review committee. Authors are required to submit a full case to be eligible for the Best Case Award.
