Overview OPUS presents OpsRewire, a two-round operations competition designed to test your operational acumen, analytical thinking, and strategic decision-making. Step into the shoes of decision-makers at a global electric vehicle manufacturer facing a critical operations dilemma: Should the company continue with local manufacturing, shift towards importing and assembling vehicles, or adopt a hybrid model? Analyse the trade-offs, work with the available data, and build a recommendation that balances cost, capacity, localisation, supplier dependence, lead times, inventory, scalability, and long-term sustainability. Round 1 — Quiz An online quiz testing your understanding of operations, operational strategy, and decision-making. 20 questions | 15 minutes One member from each team must attempt the quiz. Quiz closes: 15 September, EOD Top-performing teams will advance to Round 2. Round 2 — Case Presentation Shortlisted teams will receive the case and develop their solution. Analyse the business problem and evaluate the available alternatives. Present your findings and strategic recommendation in a 5-slide presentation.
