"Spot the problem. Ship the product. Prove the impact." Pivot '26 is the flagship case competition of the IT & Product Management Club. It puts participants in the seat of a product manager at a fast-scaling tech company and asks the question every PM lives with: what do we build next, and why? Teams work on a live-industry case spanning user research, product strategy, prioritisation, go-to-market and success metrics. The online round tests problem framing, solution design, feasibility and business impact. The top ten teams are invited to a campus finale day, where they present to a panel of product leaders and senior managers from the industry. Rules and T&Cs: All work must be original. Any plagiarism, including uncredited use of published material or another team's work, means immediate disqualification. Use of AI tools is permitted for research and drafting but must be disclosed in the appendix. The analysis and recommendations must be the team's own. Team composition is locked once the online round is submitted. No additions, replacements or withdrawals after that point. One submission per team. Late submissions will not be accepted; the Unstop portal timestamp is final. Submissions must follow the stated format, page limit and file size. Non-compliant entries may be disqualified without review. Qualifying teams must attend the campus round in person. At least two members of each team must be present. Teams unable to travel forfeit their place, which passes to the next team on the waitlist. Travel, accommodation and all associated expenses are to be borne by the participants. The organisers do not provide or reimburse travel or stay. A list of accommodation options near the campus can be shared on request. Teams may not contact judges regarding their submission at any stage. Judges' decisions are final and binding. Individual scores will not be shared. The organising committee reserves the right to modify the timeline, format, number of teams shortlisted or prize structure, and to cancel the competition, at its discretion. Any change will be communicated on Unstop and by email. By participating, teams grant the organisers the right to use their submissions and photographs for promotional and academic purposes, with credit. What participants get: A day on campus with industry product leaders Certificates of Excellence for winners and runners-up, and participation certificates for every team that submits a valid entry.
