PRASTUTI – A Debate Competition The Literary and Public Speaking Cell of ISAB, Greater Noida proudly presents “PRASTUTI” – a Debate Competition. Following are the guidelines and other important information pertaining to this event. Rules & Regulations: Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Agriculture and allied streams are allowed to participate in this competition. Each team should comprise a minimum of two students and a maximum of four students. The students can be from different full-time programs of the colleges, but they should belong to the same University. Any number of teams can participate from one College/Institution/University. A member can be part of only one team related to this event. Although student is eligible to participate in other events individually or in a group under Sambhramaa 7.0 2026. No change in the team structure is permitted after the team has registered. Be tolerant of the differences of others. Listen without interrupting. Do not underestimate or make fun of those who think differently. Avoid raising your voice to interrupt the debate. Avoid dispersing or talking about topics unrelated to the debate. Criticize with grounds or with better proposals than those criticized. Note: Teams violating the rules of the debate will be disqualified from the competition. Timeline: Registration Closes: October 5th, 2026. Guidelines to the Prastuti Competition to All the Registered Teams: October 6th, 2026. First Round of Prastuti Competition (Online): October 10th, 2026. Announcement of the Shortlisted Teams: October 15th, 2026. Final Round (Offline – ISAB Campus): October 30th, 31th 2026. Registration (Team): Team leader needs to register for the team with all team members’ details and the team name. Ensure the contact details entered during registration are correct. We will be relying on this information for future correspondence. Event Stage: The shortlisted candidates of the first round of Prastuti will be informed on ISAB Social media handles and WhatsApp groups by October 15th, 2026. The second round of Prastuti will be held on October 30th 2026 where the top 3 awards will be selected and announced. The winners will be announced on all the social media handles of ISAB by October 31th 2026. Round Details: Round 1: Elimination Round: This round is a standard debate. The teams will be formed for the participants. Two teams will compete against each other, one speaking for the topic, and the other speaking against the topic. Each speaker will be given (Decided time) minutes to speak. Topic will be given prior 2 hours before the competition. Round 2: Final Round: All the selected members will compete in the final round. The format of this round is same as the elimination round. Rules & Guidelines: The language of the debate needs to be English. Politeness is a must. If the speaker exceeds the time limits he/she may face a deduction of marks. The decision of the Judges would be final and cannot be changed. Facts presented in the debate must be true. The organizing team reserves the right to change or modify any of the rules. Criteria For Evaluation: Knowledge Of The Subject: 20% Communication: 40% Negotiation Skills: 30% Rules And Guidelines: 10% Finalist Information: The Finalists who shall participate in award ceremony will be asked to visit the ISAB Campus for the finale among the shortlisted team. The finalist will be informed in advance with travel details.
