Round 1: Quiz An economics quiz of 20 questions covering general economics, current affairs, macroeconomics, development economics, and basic quantitative concepts. Tests both speed and accuracy. The Top 10 teams qualify for Round 2. Round 2: Rebuild Nepal Qualifying teams take on the role of the Economic Reconstruction Task Force of Nepal after a major flood. Each team is given a hypothetical reconstruction fund of NPR 500 billion and must decide how to allocate the funds across key sectors while maximizing economic recovery and managing trade-offs between GDP growth, employment, inflation, public debt, and long-term resilience. Unlike a presentation round, teams will submit their final solution only. The submission must demonstrate the allocation logic through economic calculations and graphs. No Text Explanation Is Allowed. Submission Guidelines: Allocation & Strategy: Show the NPR 500B allocation across sectors, financing mix, brief rationale, and the key opportunity costs/trade-offs. Economic Graphs + Conclusion: Show the required economic graphs below. Under the graphs, write a 1–2 line conclusion explaining why your strategy is economically optimal. Rules: Round 1: 20 questions to be attempted within the given time limit. Questions will cover general economics, current affairs, and relevant macroeconomic concepts. The Top 10 qualifying teams advance to Round 2. Round 2 is a submission-only case round. There is no live presentation or Q&A. Each team must submit one final case solution in the prescribed format. The NPR 500 billion reconstruction fund is fixed; teams cannot increase it. All calculations and graphs must be based on the case data or clearly stated assumptions. Teams must follow the submission deadline and format strictly.
