Win, If You Can: Code The Solution X MaVionix India Pvt Ltd and S.R.M Institute of Science and Technology. Guidelines: Eligibility: The competition is open to college and university students. Participants from different colleges/universities are allowed to form a team. Students from different specializations, branches, departments, and academic backgrounds are also allowed to form a team. Each team must consist of 2–4 participants. There is no restriction on the combination of specializations within a team. Competition Format: The competition consists of 3 rounds: Round 1: Initial Shortlisting Round 2: Online Pitch and Final Shortlisting Round 3: On-Campus Final at SRM-IST, Ghaziabad Round 1: Initial Shortlisting: Problem Statement Release: 19th September 2026 at 9:30 AM First Evaluation: 19th September 2026 at 6:00 PM Final Submission Deadline: 20th September 2026 at 4:00 PM Teams will receive one problem statement along with a defined required outcome and a specific technical restriction or banned approach. Teams must develop a solution while following the given restriction. The Round 1 submission will be evaluated for technical approach, innovation, implementation, efficiency, and ability to overcome the imposed restriction.Overview: Round 1 begins with the Card Draw. Each team will randomly receive one of six AI Field Cards: Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, LLM, or Optimization. The card introduces the assigned field through its core focus, key areas and applications. Teams will then receive a real-world problem, the specific outcome their solution must achieve, and a BAN an obvious technology, method, model, resource, or approach that they cannot use. Teams must research, experiment and develop a working solution while respecting the restriction. Participants may use AI tools, APIs, pretrained models, coding assistants and other resources. The goal is to find a smart alternative route and successfully solve the challenge despite the BAN. DRAW YOUR CARD. GET YOUR PROBLEM. FACE THE BAN. BUILD YOUR WAY OUT. Round 2: Online Pitch and Final Shortlisting: Date: 20th September 2026 Time: 5:00 PM onwards PPT Submission Deadline: 20th September 2026 at 8:00 PM Shortlisted teams from Round 1 will participate in an online pitching round. Each team must submit a PPT presentation by 8:00 PM on 20th September 2026. Teams will present their solution online before the judging panel. The pitch should explain the problem, required outcome, banned approach, proposed solution, technical implementation, innovation, and real-world applicability. The strongest teams will be shortlisted for the final round. Overview: In Round 2, shortlisted teams will explain the approach behind their solution. Teams will discuss how they understood the problem, why they selected their particular method, how the BAN influenced their strategy, what alternatives they considered, and how they arrived at their final solution. Judges will challenge the teams with technical questions to test their understanding, reasoning, experimentation, limitations and decision-making. The focus is on proving that the team understands and can defend the solution they built, rather than simply presenting a working output. DON'T JUST SHOW THE SOLUTION. DEFEND THE THINKING BEHIND IT. Round 3: Final Round: Date: 21st September 2026 Time: 2:00 PM onwards Venue: SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM-IST), Ghaziabad Finalist teams will be invited to the SRM-IST campus for the final presentation and pitching round. Teams will demonstrate and defend their solution before the final judging panel. Only the Top 2 teams will be declared winners. Overview: In the final round, the selected teams will present their complete solution to the judges. The presentation will bring together the problem, the BAN, the team's alternative approach, the working solution, results and real-world applicability. Teams will demonstrate their prototype or output and explain what makes their approach effective, innovative and practical. The final round will evaluate the team's technical depth, creativity, clarity, problem-solving ability, innovation and overall impact. YOU BUILT IT. YOU DEFENDED IT. NOW SHOW US WHY IT SHOULD WIN. Number of Problem Statements: Each team will receive one problem statement for the competition. The problem statement will include the required outcome and the technical restriction that participants must follow. Evaluation Criteria: Technical understanding Innovation and creativity Problem-solving ability Solution effectiveness Efficiency Quality of implementation Ability to overcome the imposed restriction Real-world feasibility Presentation and communication Ability to defend technical decisions General Rules: Participants must register with accurate and complete information. Each team must have 2–4 members. Inter-college teams are not allowed. Inter-specialization and inter-department teams are allowed. Only registered team members may participate in the competition. The solution must comply with the restrictions specified in the problem statement. Use of a banned technology, technique, framework, model, or approach is strictly prohibited. Participants must not copy another team's solution or submit substantially copied work from external sources. Participants may use publicly available documentation and resources unless specifically restricted by the problem statement. If external code, datasets, APIs, libraries, or other resources are used, participants must comply with their respective licenses and disclose their use where required. AI tools may be used unless specifically prohibited in the problem statement. Participants must have a clear understanding of any AI-assisted code or content used in their solution. Teams must submit their work within the specified deadlines. Late submissions may be rejected or penalized at the discretion of the organizers. Any attempt to bypass the imposed restriction or misrepresent the development of the solution may result in disqualification. Teams must maintain professional and respectful conduct throughout the event. Collaboration between teams is not permitted unless explicitly allowed by the organizers. The decision of the judges and organizing committee regarding evaluation, eligibility, rule violations, and final winners will be final. Important Note: The objective of WIN IF YOU CAN: Code The Solution is not to build the most complicated solution. Participants are encouraged to demonstrate strong fundamentals, creative thinking, efficient engineering, and the ability to solve a problem when the obvious solution is unavailable.Problem → Required Outcome → The Ban → Think → Build → Prove When your usual solution is not available, can you still solve the problem? The BAN is absolute. Using, indirectly accessing, or bypassing the banned technology, method, model, resource, or approach will result in disqualification. Teams must be able to explain and defend their solution. Using AI tools is allowed, but the final work and understanding must be genuine. No plagiarism or fabricated results. Any copied solution or deliberately misleading submission may lead to disqualification.The solution must follow all challenge-specific constraints given with the problem.CHOOSE YOUR TEAM WISELY.
