Bull Run: The Virtual Trading Challenge

Overview: Saavan ’26 | Amartya – The Finance Society Bull Run: The Virtual Trading Challenge is an online educational Forex trading competition designed to give participants practical exposure to the global currency market through simulated trading. Participants will begin with a $10,000 virtual MT5 demo account and compete in a common market environment without risking real money. Before the trading round, an Orientation Session will introduce participants to Forex fundamentals, MetaTrader 5, competition rules, evaluation criteria, and basic risk-management principles. Following the orientation, participants will take a 20-question Qualification Quiz. The quiz carries 20 marks and has a 20-minute time limit. Participants can move freely between questions and sections. The quiz leaderboard will determine the Top 50 participants who advance to the Trading Round. In case of a tie in scores, the participant who completes the quiz in less time will receive the higher rank. The Trading Round will be conducted through MetaTrader 5 demo accounts with $10,000 in virtual capital and 1:30 leverage. Participants can analyse market movements and execute trades on the instruments available on their assigned accounts. Trading performance will be evaluated using Net P&L, Maximum Relative Drawdown, and Win Rate. The Top 7 performers will advance to a Finalist Verification Round, where their trading decisions, strategies, and compliance with the competition rules will be assessed.
