Welcome to Motion’s Migration, a 2D animation challenge where ideas come alive through movement. Take your audience on a visual journey, experiment with motion and storytelling, and transform a simple concept into an animation that captivates from the first frame to the last. Objective To animate your own original character in action through a 15–20 second animation sequence. The animation must clearly demonstrate at least one of the 12 Principles of Animation. Eligibility Open to all students. Individual entries are allowed. Each participant can submit only 1 entry. Challenge Brief Choose one option: A. A message that travels: Animate a short sequence following a physical or magical message, such as a paper airplane, a whispered secret, or a glowing light, as it passes through shifting environments and diverse hands. B. Chronicles of the Unseen: Tell a dynamic visual story from an unexpected point of view, such as a drifting seed, a speck of dust in a sunbeam, or a shadow breaking free, capturing its journey through space and time. The existing theme and detailed brief are attached for reference. Your task is to create a modern, memorable, and versatile animation sequence while retaining the essence of the prompt.
