Description Quantum Noise Forensics is an online individual technical competition focused on quantum-noise analysis, error identification and recovery of reliable quantum information. Participants will analyze the provided noisy quantum data, investigate patterns and possible error sources, and develop appropriate techniques to identify or reduce the effects of noise. Participants must submit the required analysis, code, numerical results, visualizations and explanation in the specified format. Submissions will be evaluated based on the published criteria, including the quality of the analysis, accuracy of the identified noise/error patterns, recovery performance, methodology and reproducibility. Duration Total Duration: 90–120 minutes Rules & Guidelines 1. Eligibility Participation is individual. Participants must satisfy the eligibility requirements specified in the official event announcement. Participants must provide accurate registration information. Participants must have access to the required quantum-data analysis environment. 2. Competition Format Participants will receive a quantum-noise dataset or approved data-generation framework. Participants must investigate the supplied data and identify relevant noise patterns or error sources. Participants must develop an appropriate method for recovering or improving reliable quantum information. Required outputs must be submitted in the format specified by the organizers. 3. Required Submission Depending on the final challenge specification, participants may be required to submit: Source code/notebooks Numerical results Noise/error analysis Recovery results Relevant plots or visualizations Performance metrics Short technical explanation/documentation The exact submission requirements must be published before the competition begins. 4. Dataset & Data Usage Participants must use the dataset and data sources permitted by the organizers. Hidden test data or hidden evaluation information must not be accessed. Participants must not manipulate the evaluation data. Any external datasets must comply with the published competition rules. 5. Tools & Technologies Participants may use the software, programming languages, quantum frameworks and libraries explicitly permitted by the organizers. The supported environment and versions should be published before the competition starts. 6. Analysis & Methodology Participants may perform appropriate: Data exploration Noise characterization Error identification Statistical analysis Signal/data processing Quantum error mitigation or recovery techniques Model development Performance evaluation All methods must comply with the published competition rules. 7. Evaluation Criteria Submissions may be evaluated based on: Accuracy of noise/error identification Quality of recovered quantum information Performance against the evaluation metric Quality of analysis Technical correctness Methodology Reproducibility Clarity of explanation The exact scoring weights and evaluation metric must be published before submissions begin. 8. Originality Participants must independently develop their solutions unless collaboration is explicitly permitted. Copying another participant's analysis, code or results is prohibited. Code and submission similarity checks may be performed. Violations may result in disqualification. 9. External Resources & AI Tools The use of external datasets, pretrained models, online resources and AI-assisted tools will follow the official competition policy. Participants must comply with any restrictions or disclosure requirements. 10. Technical Verification Organizers may review high-ranking or unusual submissions to verify: Reproducibility Correctness of analysis Validity of reported results Compliance with dataset restrictions Use of permitted resources Absence of hidden-data leakage Participants may be asked to provide additional technical evidence where required. 11. Disqualification A participant may be disqualified for: Ineligible participation Unauthorized access to hidden data Data leakage Manipulation of evaluation results Use of prohibited resources Copying another participant's solution Unauthorized collaboration False or misleading results Submission after the deadline Violation of published competition rules 12. Tie-Breaking If participants achieve identical scores, the published tie-break criteria will be applied consistently. 13. Final Results The final leaderboard/results will be confirmed only after the required eligibility and technical verification.
