Strike or Yield - Industrial Relations Flagship Event 2026

Do you have what it takes to be able to navigate the big, bad world of industries and tackle various issues head-on? Can you devise a smart approach to deal with hostile trade unions and strikes? After all, Industrial Relations are the need of the hour with India aiming to become a manufacturing hub. This is a competition meant for those who have the right balance between managerial competency and disaster management skills. Thorough conceptual clarity of IR, negotiation skills, and a knack for practical application will help you navigate the seas of this event to emerge victoriously. Strike Or Yield is the epic battle where the best are pitted against each other to craft the ultimate genius game plan. Format: Round 1: Your first step to glory on the big stage begins here Get prepared to pit your wits against the best minds from across the country This will be an online round where participants will solve a quiz which shall be a mix of different genres in the field of HR, IR, and general affairs The teams shall be evaluated on the basis of the correctness of answers, and the time to taken to attempt the quiz. The decision of the Ensemble-Valhalla Team shall be binding under all circumstances Round 2: The second round will be a case competition with 3-4 slides (excluding intro and thank you slides) Details of the same will be shared with the shortlisted participants Instructions: Each team should comprise 2-4 participants Only students pursuing a full-time MBA are eligible to participate in the event Multiple entries from a single institution are allowed However, no applicant should be a part of more than one team Teams that do not adhere to any of the rules and guidelines can be disqualified at any phase of the event Eligibility: MBA students In case of any queries, please write to evct@xlri.ac.in.
