This competition tests both your conceptual grip on Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour and your ability to turn that knowledge into practical strategy. Round 1: Quiz A 20-question MCQ round built on short workplace scenarios. It covers recruitment, appraisal, compensation, motivation, leadership, team dynamics, change, culture and labour law. Each case is designed so that two options look right, and you'll need to spot which one fits precisely. Round 2: Case Study – The Payroll Leak A fast-growing tech company's entire payroll has been leaked online, exposing pay gaps, gender disparity and leadership bonuses. Attrition is soaring and trust has collapsed. As an external HR consulting team, you'll diagnose the root causes and design a 90-day recovery plan and a long-term compensation and people strategy, all within a tight budget. What You'll Learn Applying HR and OB theories to real workplace situations, not just definitions. Diagnosing the root causes of people problems. Designing fair, transparent compensation and retention strategies. Crisis communication and managing employee trust. Balancing fairness, budget, legal risk and business needs. Presenting strategic recommendations clearly and persuasively. Who Should Participate: Students interested in HR, management, consulting or organisational strategy. General Guidelines Team size: 1–3 members. Registration and Round 1 will be open from 13th to 16th October. Round 2 – HR Crisis Case Competition: 17th–22th October. Rules And Regulations Round 1 – Quiz: Participants will compete in the quiz. Round 2 – HR Crisis Case Competition: Shortlisted participants will analyze the payroll leak and pay-gap case. Round 2 submissions must be in presentation format and uploaded through Unstop only. Late or incomplete submissions may not be considered. Maintain professional conduct throughout the event. The organizers’ decision regarding evaluation and results will be final. Violation of event rules may lead to disqualification.
