About the event: Club Convergence – The Official HR Club of IBS Hyderabad proudly presents its flagship event VERDICT 6.0, as part of HR WEEK 10.0 – a courtroom-style competition that promises to challenge minds and spark powerful debates. The event begins with a preliminary round, where participants showcase their individual skills, knowledge, and presence of mind. From here, the most compelling performers will advance to the main face-off. In the grand round, participants will be split into two opposing teams one defending the motion and the other challenging it. With sharp arguments, counterpoints, and persuasive reasoning, a courtroom-like atmosphere will come alive as the teams battle it out to win the jury’s favor.Brace yourself for an electrifying clash of ideas, wit, and strategy as participants strive to win the final VERDICT! Rules and guidelines – (Round Wise/ General): Round 1: Preliminary Round The case will be uploaded on unstop to participating teams, assigning each team a specific stance (for or against). Once the registrations are received, they will be segregated as prosecution & defense. Teams conduct in-depth research on the case study, analyzing facts, data, and potential arguments. They also gather witnesses and supporting evidence. Submission: Teams compile their findings, arguments, and evidence and upload it to the designated Google link. Evaluation: A panel of judges evaluate the same based on the strength of arguments, evidence, and overall presentation. Shortlisting: Based on the evaluation, a select number of teams are shortlisted for the final round. Note: For the preliminary round the participants don’t have to report to college premises, they can submit the evidences at their own comfort. Round 2: Final Round: Shortlisted teams are divided into two groups: one representing the "for" side and the other representing the "against" side. (Max 12 teams will be shortlisted) Both teams engage in a live debate, presenting their arguments and evidence. Teams can show videos and testimonials that they have shot as a proof or evidence. Teams can physically bring witnesses to support their claims, earning additional brownie points. Final Judgment: The judges evaluate the performance of both teams based on their arguments, evidence, and overall presentation. Panel Discussion: The event will also consist of a small panel discussion as HR talks to discuss the trending transformation at workplace which will enlighten the students with the market trends, employee turnover, safety at workplace etc.
